CENSORSHIP by Fsmiranda:
A song recorded by Gilberto Gil for the album “Refazenda” (1975), but
which never made it into the album, was released in 2016, on the
internet, by its composer, Jorge Alfredo. “Rato Miúdo” was banned by the
censorship in force at the time and, therefore, it did not enter the
disc (therefore, the disc has five tracks on the B side).
"Rato Miúd"
was censored because of the refrain that reproduced the words of the
author's Reservist Certificate: ‘for being judged incapable, definitely,
being able to exercise civil activities’.
Gil had to remove the music from the show and LP Refazenda, and he didn't put any other music in place.
