RGE XRLP 5276

Singer, composer and piano player Adylson Godoy has his premiere tonight on Parallel Realities with his Erlon Chaves arranged album from 1965: In form of a transfer and cover scans by Pedro.

Although it is his premiere in this parallel reality, Sou Sem Paz has been already posted on the net, namely on the legendary Loronix blog several years ago, which means that all relevant details you may find and read on Órfãos do Loronix where Zecalouro's text is re-printed.

Raul De Barros e Dilermando Pinheiro - Trombone Zangando (1955)

Rádio 0097-GV

Tonight you may enjoy the trombone player Raul de Barros and sambista Dilermando Pinheiro in a joint project for Rádio released at an unknown date.

There is a mystery that I have not resolved so far: The label scans provided by Pedro show that this album is split between Raul de Barros on side A and Dilermando Pinheiro on side B.

On the other hand the compositions numbered by Pedro as well as the numbering of tracks on Memoria Musical are different than on the label scans done by Pedro who also managed the transfers...

Is it another edition or something else, I do not know and I did not want to bother Pedro with this dilemma, but the mystery about it will not spoil the pleasure of listening to:

01. Ginga do Candango (Raul de Barros) Raul de Barros
02. Consolo de Otário (João Roberto Kelly) Dilermando Pinheiro
03. Arrasta a Sandália (Osvaldo Vasques "Baiaco" / Aurélio Gomes) Raul de Barros

P.S. The albums by Raul de Barros posted so far on Parallel Realities have almost all been removed due to copyright claims.
Tonight's album was uploaded upon Depositfiles without any problems with their copyright checker.
Still, the possibility that it will in the near future become polar bear protected must be taken into consideration, so don't wait to download it tomorrow as tomorrow you might be presented with the tasteless DOWNLOAD YESTERDAY notice.

Linda Baptista - Meus Sucessos (1956)

RCA Victor BPL 3021

Obviously, a new package received from Pedro & 300discos has arrived and obviously I am posting as the first album out of it the one combining two principles: ladies first and oldest first:

Linda Batista's (Baptista) 10 Inch released 1956 consisting of songs recorded as 78rpms during the period from 1947 to 1953.

There is one exception, the song Vinganca.

I will quote the note found on Mémoria Músical:

A música Vingança apresentada neste disco é uma regravação, uma vez que a matriz original, devido ao grande sucesso da música, já estava muito desgastada e a gravadora foi obrigada a fazer uma nova gravação. As demais faixas foram extraídas de 78rpm.

The back cover offers an informative, quite detailed text about Linda's career and songs, written by Claribalte Passos.

Tracks from 78rpm recordings and Vingança:

1. Madalena (Ari Macedo / Airton Amorim) 78rpm: 80.0713 / 1950
2. Nega Maluca (Evaldo Ruy / Fernando Lobo) 78rpm: 80.0631 / 1950
3. Me Deixa Em Paz (Monsueto / Airton Amorim) 78rpm: 80.0825 / 1951
4. Enlouqueci (Luis Soberano / Waldomiro Pereira / João Sales) 78rpm: 80.0559 / 1947
5. Vingança (Lupicínio Rodrigues)
6. Chico Viola (Wilson Batista / Antônio Nássara) 78rpm: 80.1058 / 1952
7. Risque (Ary Barroso) 78rpm: 80.1080 / 1953
8. Trapo de Gente (Ary Barroso) 78rpm: 80.1080 / 1953

Erlon Chaves e Sua Orquestra - Pra Nao Dizer Que Nao Falei de Sucessos (1968)

Philips R 765.071 L

The second album by Maestro Erlon Chaves I am posting today, was, as far as I know, not presented before on the net, at least not on Loronix (so there will be no Zecalouro's text about it on Órfãos).
The compostions conducted and performed are, as this album was released four years after 1964, in accordance with the general orientation at the time, all international hits with compositions ranging from Paul Simon to Otis Redding, a trend to continue throughout Erlon's opus (as you will see and hear in his following works).

This time it is:

01. Mrs. Robinson (Paul Simon)
02. After The Fox (J. Gross / M. Freda)
03. (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay (Steve Cropper / Otis Redding)
04. Funky Street (A. Conley / E. Simms)

Erlon Chaves e Sua Orquestra - Em Tempo de Samba (1961)

RCA Victor BBL 1157

Another premiere on Parallel Realities of a well know figure: Maestro Erlon Chaves , whose several albums have been already presented on the net (several years ago), mostly by the legendary Loronix blog.
So was the first and oldest album to be posted today out of the just arrived package sent by Pedro & 300discos, but this time it is in form of a transfer and cover scans by Pedro.

Needless to mention that Zecalouro's text about this release, as expected in such cases, may be read at the usual suspects place, on Órfãos do Loronix, where it is reprinted.

Here is the track list:

40 Anos da Radio Nacional (1976)

Philips 6349 303/4

- Extraido de acetatos gravados durante programas da Rádio Nacional -

In 1976 Philips released an 40 anniversary of Rádio Nacional double LP. Twenty years earlier, in 1956 a similar single LP was released by RCA Victor: 20 Anos da Rádio Nacional (available in another reality).
If the Rádio Nacional is still on air, I do not know, but if it is, in two years it should celebrate it's 80th birthday.

Anyway, the time machine stops at Station '76 offering to it's passengers to encounter (or remember) the good times.

Close your eyes and start a trip back in time on:

Jazz Festival No 1 - Jam Session (1956)

RGE RLP 002

Live recording in the  Teatro de Cultura Artística - São Paulo, during the Primeiro Festival Brasileiro de Jazz, organized by the Jazz Club de São Paulo.

In short: Farnésio Dutra e Silva alas Dick Farney's jazzy jam session, already presented on Loronix several years ago, about which you may read Zecalouro's text reprinted on Órfãos do Loronix.

As usual in such occasions, here are just:

1. The list of the musicians:

Dick Farney: Piano
Casé: Saxofone
Rubinho: Bateria
Choo Viana: Contrabaixo
Ismael Campiglia: classified on the back cover as "músico amador"

2. The track list:

1. Pennies From Heaven (Arthur Johnston / Johnny Burke)
2. Blues (Autor Desconhecido)
3. Out Of Nowhere (Edward Heyman / Johnny Green)

Musica Romantica com Dick Farney (1954)

Continental LPP 02

Famous Brazilian jazz pianist Dick Farney  has finally his premiere on Parallel Realities with his first career album, a 10' LP, out of many.
You may ask why he was not featured earlier...
The answer is simple: Because all of his recordings in my collection have been downloaded from other sites.
Now, as this is a transfer by Pedro, all such considerations are pushed aside.

Enjoy Dick Farney's romantic tracks:

Lado A (com Orquestra):

1. Você Se Lembra (Haroldo Eiras / Victor Berbara) Samba
2. Canção do Mar (Bruno Marnet) Toada
3. Grande Verdade (Billy Blanco) Samba
4. Outra Vez (Tom Jobim) Samba-canção

Lado B (com L. Pasquet e Sua Orquestra):

5. She's Funny That Way (N. Moret / R. A. Whiting) Fox-trot
6. These Foolish Things (Eric Maschwitz / Jack Strachey / Harry Link) Fox-trot
7. How Deep Is The Ocean (Irving Berlin) Fox-trot
8. You Go To My Head (Haven Gillespie / John Frederick Coots) Fox-trot

P.S. On side B Dick Farney is accompanied by the orchestra led by Maestro L. Pasquet about whom I could not find any reference.

MORE INFORMATION by Fausto Neves:
On the Lp 12″ Meia-Noite Em Copacabana Com Dick Farney (1956), the Disco has, on the B side track 06 – Toada Amor – Luiz Bonfa and Luiz Pasquet,

I found the info Luis Pasquet (1917 -) born in Salto, Uruguay musician, composer of tangos. He also recorded with the brazilians Joel e Gaucho

I understand that the Uruguayan Luis Pasquet is the same Luis Pasquet, as a musician. And in Castilian or Spanish is not usual a z letter in the name Luis.

Roberto Corte Real, on the back cover, was a Brazilian expert in Jazz, which in the 1960s was a director of EMI-ODEON and CBS in Brazil. The producer Jose Scatena came to have an important recording studio also in 1960s

Baiao No 2 (1953)

 Musidisc M-004

As Três Marias, Catulo de Paula and Leal Brito "Britinho" on the second 10' volume of Baião released for Musidisc back in '53.

By coincidence, just two days ago I refreshed all broken links in the other parallel reality (except two which are copyright protected) for Leal Brito (including all his other false names and pseudonyms) as part of the general link renewal action, triggered every time when somebody reports broken links (providing that the links were not removed because of complaints).
If you want to see what is renewed, go to the other reality and type "New link" in the search box and you should see among the search results the New link in red beside the usual place to click upon.

While searching through other realities for renewed links, enjoy:

1. Onda do Mar (João Leal Brito ''Britinho'' / Paulo Soledade)
2. Chuveu Tô Vortando (Catulo de Paula / Carlos Galindo) As Três Marias / Catulo de Paula
3. Celeste no Baião (Nilo Sérgio) As Três Marias / João Leal Brito ''Britinho''
4. Concerto no Baião (Tradicional / Adpt. João Leal Brito ''Britinho'' / Adpt. Nilo Sérgio) As Três Marias / João Leal Brito ''Britinho''
5. Ciranda no Baião (Tradicional / Adpt. Nilo Sérgio) As Três Marias / João Leal Brito ''Britinho''
6. Tico-tico na Campina (Jorge Faraj / João Leal Brito ''Britinho'')
7. Mania do Mané (Catulo de Paula / Carlos Galindo) As Três Marias / Catulo de Paula
