Miranda e Conjunto - O Maximo no Genero (1963)

Chantecler CMG 2230

As the next career album by Miranda to be presented, I have chosen his O Máximo no Gênero from 1963 as it is at first sight a bit more revealing than the previous one:

The front cover displays this time not only his guitar, but also the young lady sitting on it.

The back cover shows that the arrangements are by Francisco Morais, also
the text on the back cover text gives additional facts, but not who has written it.

I am listing here also the names of tracks performed and their composers, but to discover how it all sounds you must do it yourself by listening to:

01. Bonanza (Ray Evans / Jay Livingston)
02. Samba É (A. Miranda / Santana)
03. Dança Cubana (Ari de Jesus / Domingos Real)
04. Dança do Boogie Woogie (Carlos Armando)
05. Hava Nagila (Abraham Zevi Idelsohn)
06. Wadiya (Earl Gary / Jean Rolle / Van Aleda)
07. Cassino (Boudleaux Bryant)
08. Furugudum (Paulo Rogério)
09. Afrikaan Beat (Bert Kaempfert)
10. Las Vegas (L. Johnson)
11. Barril de Chopp (Beer Barrel Polka) (Jaromir Vejvoda / Wladimir A. Timm / Lew Brown)
12. Baby Sittin' Boogie (Johnny Parker / Joachim Relin)

Miranda e Seu Conjunto - Salerosa (1962)

Chantecler CMG 2189

Presenting guitar player Antonio Miranda Netto (his full name) or just Miranda for the first time on a career album on Parallel Realities. Note that he was already included here in the various artists album Coquetel de Sambas as well as sideman on Portinho's Choro Chorado in another reality

The latest package sent by Pedro & 300discos contains several of his albums, and for the first I have chosen Salerosa from 1962, his second career album (out of eight listed + eight 78 rpms) mainly because the cover clearly displays his instrument, as well as the back cover offers an informative text by Braz Baccarin about Chantecler's sound quality, the music + sound effects on this album and Miranda's career so far.

01. Salerosa (Santana / Enzo Almeida Passos)
02. Frenesi (Alberto Dominguez)
03. Taboo (Margarita Lecuona)
04. Para Vigo Me Voy (Ernesto Lecuona)
05. Cubanacan (Moisés Simons / Sauvat / Chamfleury)
06. Quem É Que Não Sente (Waldick Soriano)
07. En Un Bote de Vela (Raul Rene Rosado)
08. Cumaná (Roc Hillman / Barclay Allen / Harold Spina)
09. Aquellos Ojos Verdes (Nilo Menendez / Adolfo Utrera)
10. Cha Cha Sula (Caçulinha / César da Fonseca)
11. El Cumbanchero (Rafael Hernandez)
12. Pa-Ran-Pan-Pan (Sergio de Karlo)
