Discastro GED 1006
The just arrived package from Pedro & 300discos contains, among other goodies, also the first three albums from the missing Box Grande Baile Volume 2 !
The first and third set of 5 albums were already posted in this parallel reality, but I feared that the missing second set, a rarity par excellence, might never turn up.
Here is the first album from the second set containing:
01. Tuxedo Junction (Feyne / Hawkins / Johnson / Dash) Gold Piston and his Orchestra
02. Adios Pampa Mia (Francisco Canaro / Contursi) Orquestra Discastro
03. Moonlight Serenade (Glenn Miller / Mitchell / Parish) Orquestra Romantica
04. Besame Mucho (Consuelo Velasquez) Star Boys
05. Viver Sem Você (Fernando Cesar) Fred & Richard
06. Arrasta A Sandalia (Oswaldo Vasquez / Aurelio Gomes) Conjunto Bossabassa
07. Lisboa Antiga (Raul Portela / J. Portela / A. do Vale) Conjunto Bossabassa

Julinho, Seu Piston e Seu Conjunto - 100% Bossa (1963)
ХРИСТОС ВОСКРЕСЕ!
Masterplay MDL 13025
Piston player Julinho Barbosa's first career album out of two, the second one being released two years after this one.
He was already presented here and in the other reality as member of Os Cobras and as side man on Elizeth Cardoso's Sax Voz 1 with Moacyr Silva.
Beside several 78rpms, I will also mention that he has been a member of the Conjunto 7 de Ouros and participated on both recordings they released.
Now you can enjoy him as main performer + composer of one of these tracks:
01. Influência do Jazz (Carlos Lyra)
02. Moeda Quebrada (Luis Reis / Haroldo Barbosa)
03. Você E Eu (Carlos Lyra / Vinicius de Moraes)
04. Alô Doçura (Julinho Barbosa)
05. Água Com Areia (Jair Amorim / Jacobina)
06. É Bossa Mesmo (Julinho Barbosa)
07. Desafinado (Tom Jobim / Newton Mendonça)
08. Olhou Pra Mim (Ed Lincoln / Silvio César)
09. Só Quero Sambar (Cyro Monteiro)
10. Corcovado (Tom Jobim)
11. Não Há Razão (Orlando Costa "Maestro Cipó")
12. Questão de Moral (Roberto Faissal / Paulo Tito)

3 YEARS LATER by Paulo Castelo Branco:
In 1966, Julinho & seu Piston serviu para introduzir o Conjunto Musical The Fevers no selo Odeon.
