Mocambo LP 40329
The Brazilian Boss, a musician (or a band?) claiming in English to be the Brazilian Boss, for the first time on Parallel Realities.
About this boss, there is not much I can say, nor does the cover provide any information except for the track listing.
What I can say is that I found out that there is at least one more career album with the same name, released two years later for Passarela/Rosenblit.
Now it's time for questions, assumptions and suspicions:
If the Boss is an instrumentalist, than I can suspect that he plays either guitar or organ as the music is all in conversations between these two instruments.
Pending questions:
If he is really the boss in Brazil?
Was he ever democratically elected by the majority of Brazilian music fans?
Was he, maybe, installed by Washington?
Where did he vanish after his two albums?
While meditating about the possible answers and formulating your own questions, enjoy:
01. Les Cornichons (Nino Ferrer / J. Booker)
02. A Volta (Roberto Carlos / Erasmo Carlos)
03. Juanita Banana (T. Howard / M. Kenton)
04. Brincadeira de Esconder (Eda Reis)
05. Io Ti Daró Di Piu (Memo Remigi / Alberto Testa)
06. É Papo Firme (Renato Corrêa / Donaldson Gonçalves)
07. Mexerico da Candinha (Roberto Carlos / Erasmo Carlos)
08. Pobre Menina (Hang On Sloopy) (Bert Russell / Wes Farrell / Vrs. Leno)
