Juca do Acordeon Em Sambas (1956)

Sinter SLP 1068

After three week of being absorbed in other urgent matters, it's business as usual. The newest package sent to us by friends Pedro & 300discos is being transferred to my PC as I write, and I have chosen as first to be posted a beautiful para dançar 10 Inch album by Juca do Acordeon, an artist so far unknown to me, filled with vintage sambas from 1956.
Unfortunately, this rarity is, as far as I know, his only career album, so I suggest to add it to your collection immediately.

Enjoy as individual tracks or as the uninterrupted sides A and B:

Lado A:

01. Morena Boca de Ouro (Ary Barroso)
02. Nega (Waldemar Gomes / Afonso Teixeira)
03. Leva Meu Samba (Ataulfo Alves)
04. Falsa Baiana (Geraldo Pereira)
05. A Voz do Morro (Zé Keti)

Lado B:

06. Molambo (Jaime Florence "Meira" / Augusto Mesquita)
07. Favela (Roberto Martins / Waldemar Silva)
08. Alguém Como Tu (José Maria de Abreu / Jair Amorim)
09. A Grande Verdade (Luis Bittencourt / Marlene)
10. Copacabana (João de Barro / Alberto Ribeiro)

VINTAGE SAMBA 1956

Créditos: Pedro & 300discos

JUCA'S REAL NAME by Bossanov:
The real name of great Juca do Acordeon is Abdalla Chalub. So he is possibly from Siro-Lebanian community of Brazil, like Tito Madi and Sergio Ricardo.

EDIT: Looks like Juca has recorded two more LPs besides this one:
1955 Ecos de 1955
1957 Tarde dancante No 2
