Carnaval de 1962 - Vol. 1 (1961)
Continental LPP 3190
The Carnaval '62, released by Continental, had the usual problem that occurs with recordings of the various artists kind:
The zip file got rejected by Depositfiles, so I had to check track by track to identify those that have their DMCA Polar Bear protection fully combat ready.

No use to lament about it, enjoy the other songs instead:
01. Andorinha (Haroldo Lobo / Milton de Oliveira) Ângela Maria (removed from zip)

Jose Luciano, Seu Piano e Seu Ritmo (1957)
Copacabana CLP 11007
The new package sent by Pedro & 300discos has arrived a short time ago and I picked out of it a long sought album (won't tell you which, as not to add my frustration to you) only to run into the Polar Bear protection on Depositfiles after uploading it.
Sorry, but it happens occasionally...
Instead, I quickly picked up another one, recorded by our dear mafioso siciliano José Luciano, about which I won't have to write a word at this late hour, as Zecalouro has already done it and you may read his text, covering also the front cover controversy, on the usual place where his texts are reprinted: On Órfãos do Loronix.
While asking yourself what album was rejected by Depositfiles, calm down by listening to:
01. Tarde Demais (José Luciano)
02. Conceição (Jair Amorim / Valdemar de Abreu "Dunga")
03. Love Is A Many Splendored Thing (Paul Francis Webster / Sammy Fain)
04. Pois É (Ataulfo Alves)
05. Crepúsculo de Amor (Vicente Paiva / Lita Rodrigues)
06. Teus Olhos Entendem os Meus (Haroldo Eiras / Victor Berbara)

Helio Mendes e seu conjunto - Week-end em Guarapari (1963)
MUSIPLAY LPMS 5109 - Estéreo
After a long time, we have finally a "new" album by piano player Hélio Mendes, who has apparently transformed his pleasant week-end experience in Guarapari into the music recorded on this LP from 1963, which has, thanks to Edson Mendes (claims that he is not a relative of Hélio Mendes), finally turned to red on my Santa Claus list.
Two other albums by Hélio Mendes and his conjunto have their links still working and may be found in another reality.
Spend a relaxed and pleasant week-en by listening to:
01. Garota de Ipanema (A. C. Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
02. Batida diferente (Durval Ferreira / Mauricio Einhorn)
03. Mister Bossa Nova (Roberto Menescal)
04. Meu coração cigano (Claribalte Passps)
05. I could have danced all night (Alan J. Lerner / F. Lowe)
06. Tender is the night (Paul Francis / Webster / Sammy Fain)
07. Guarapari (Pedro Caetano)
08. Tudo de mim (Evaldo Gouveia / Jair Amorim)
09. Al di la (Mongol / Donida)
10. Só danço samba (A. C. Jobim / Vinicius de Moraes)
11. Devagar com a louça (Haroldo Barbosa / Luiz Reis)

Lourdinha Brasil - Musica da Terra (1956)
RGE RLP 004
Last evening the unexpected happened:
My good friends, the notorious blogger blogging under the nom de guerre Aktivista Neumereni and special agent of the secret police Agent Novaković, a notorious playboy, both passionate music fans, dropped by.
So far, this is nothing unusual as they are both frequent visitors at my place, but Aktivista arrived with the transfer of this rarity made in Brazil, which he found and bought for a dime on the Bajlonijeva pijaca, an open air green market where also a flea market is in full action.
I could not believe my eyes: An unknown cantora, on a ten inch recorded in 1956 for RGE!
How it happened to be on a flee market sale in Belgrade is a mystery to us, but there it is.
Further researches conducted immediately have shown that it is her only career album and also that the musical direction is by Henrique Simonetti, while the artistic direction is by Roberto Corte Real.
Enjoy the premiere consisting of these songs:
1. Rei Do Congo (Tradicional / Adpt. Jaime Griz) Maracatu
2. Chirimindé (Tradicional / Adpt. Paixão Cortes / Adpt. Barbosa Lessa) Cantiga
3. Nhapopé (Tradicional) Canção
4. Baiana Dengosa (Elias Salomé / Lopes Rodrigues) Jongo
5. Tatu (Barbosa Lessa / Paixão Cortes) Dansa gaúcha
6. Escravo de Engenho (Xandu) Lamento negro
7. Chimarrita (Tradicional / Rec. Rossini Tavares de Lima) Limpa banco
8. Piá do Mutum (Tradicional) Modinha

Aloysio e Seu Conjunto - Na Ciranda do Samba (1962)
Copacabana CLP 11259
This album has already been posted on Loronix, later reposted on Parallel Realities (the link has expired by now) and now I am posting it again, but this time in form of a transfer and scans by Pedro.
Curiously, out of more than ten career albums Aloysio Figueiredo has released, only three have been brought to light. The other two are also on Parallel Realities (with working links).
So read Zecalouro's text about this release on Órfãos do Loronix and download the other two albums in another parallel reality.
While doing so, take a look at the list of musicians:
Aloysio Figueiredo (organ, arrangements, production)
Cacau (guitar, vocals)
Arruda (drums)
Djalma (bass)
Arnaldo (agogo)
Waldir (pandeiro)
Walter Arruda (tamborim, tumbadora)
Os Modernistas (vocals)
And enjoy these compositions during tomorrow's samba Saturday:
01. Chorando Chorando (Edson Borges / Armando Cavalcanti)
02. Tamanco no Samba (Orlandivo / Hélton Menezes)
03. Chorou (Djalma de Carvalho / Cacau)

Ed Lincoln - Aquarela (1965)
Musidisc Soma 607.6076
Organ player Ed Licoln has been present on Parallel Realities but, up to now, only as sideman. The reason is the usual: All of his albums in my collection have been downloaded from other sites.
Not that Aquarela is a never before on the net album, as it was previously released on Loronix as the first edition, titled Orgão Espectacular (1961 - Masterpiece Master 11026). You can find it on Órfãos do Loronix together with Zecalouro's text.
Aquarela is a Pedro's transfer and scans of the re-issue by Musidisc, not dated, so I have taken 1961, as it is the date the recording itself was made.
Enjoy:

P.S. There is actually something I know about Germano which Braz Baccario could only guess at the time he was writing his text on the back cover of Germano's debut album: According to Memoria Musical, Germano has recorded (at least) three more LPs, the latest dated 1983.
As the second album to be presented today we have the opportunity do meet violin player Germano and his conjunto for the first time in this parallel reality.
About the in Argentina born German Weinrot "Germano" and his music you may read a nice text on the back cover written by Braz Baccario, which is more informative on the subject than I could ever be, while at the same time enjoying Germano's magical way of performing these beautiful compositions:
01. Haroldo no Choro (Abel Ferreira)
02. The Magnificent Sven (Sete Homens e Um Destino) (E. Bernstein)
03. Um Milhão De Estrelas (Júlio Nagib / Bernardo Cascarelli Jr. "xixa")
04. Carona (A. Miranda)
05. Dinah (Akat / S. Lewis / J. Young)
06. Lua De Mel (Bernardo Cascarelli Jr. "xixa")
07. Diplomata (Teddy Vieira / Yvany de Andrade Soares)
08. Aurora (Roberto Roberti / Mário Lago)
09. Fascination (Fermo Dante Marchetti)
10. Cavaleiro do Bem (Maugéri Neto)
11. Tenho Saudade (Santana / Miranda)

P.S. Never heard of Rud Wharton before. Unfortunately Musidisc is notorious for lack of information about the musicians performing, but looks like, judging by the titles of some of his career albums found listed elsewhere, he is a piano player. His discography spans from 1947 to 1956. All of his 9 career albums have been released in 1955 and 1956.

Apresentando Sebastiao Tapajos e Seu Conjunto (1963)
Entré/CBS 4025
So far violão player Sebastião Tapajós could be found in this parallel reality, only as a sideman to other artists.
Now, thanks to our friends Pedro & 300discos, I have the pleasure to finally present him with a career album from 1963, by coincidence, appropriately named: Apresentando Sebastião Tapajós e Seu Conjunto.
Apart from Sebastião himself, his conjunto consists of eight musicians (as can be easily counted from the front cover) + singers Osy Neusa and Luiz Olavo mentioned on the labels, but unfortunately the back cover does not give any credit to anyone of them.
On the other hand, Regina Pesce, colunista social da Folha do Norte has written a text about Sebastião Tapajós and his career (up to the moment of the release of this album, of course).
Tracks performed are:
01. Acaramelado (Roverano / Don Filinto)
02. Sonhar Contigo (Adilson Ramos / Armelindo Leandro) Canta: Osy Neusa
03. Morena (Afonso Monteiro) Canta: Luiz Olavo
04. Tudo de Mim (Jair Amorim / Evaldo Gouveia)
05. Noites de Moscou (Vassily Solovyov-Sedoy)
06. Moonlight Serenade (Glenn Miller / Mitchell Parish)
07. Onde Estava Eu (Armando Cavalcanti / Victor Freire) Canta: Luiz Olavo
08. Nós E O Mar (Roberto Menescal / Ronaldo Bôscoli)
09. Boa Noite da Vida (Sebastião Tapajós / Geimirez Melo e Silva) Canta: Osy Neusa
10. O Que Eu Gosto de Você (Silvio César) Canta: Luiz Olavo
11. Samba da Madrugada (Dora Lopes / Carminha Mascarenhas / Herotides Nascimento)

Raul De Barros e Dilermando Pinheiro - Trombone Zangando (1955)
Rádio 0097-GV
Tonight you may enjoy the trombone player Raul de Barros and sambista Dilermando Pinheiro in a joint project for Rádio released at an unknown date.
There is a mystery that I have not resolved so far: The label scans provided by Pedro show that this album is split between Raul de Barros on side A and Dilermando Pinheiro on side B.
On the other hand the compositions numbered by Pedro as well as the numbering of tracks on Memoria Musical are different than on the label scans done by Pedro who also managed the transfers...
Is it another edition or something else, I do not know and I did not want to bother Pedro with this dilemma, but the mystery about it will not spoil the pleasure of listening to:
01. Ginga do Candango (Raul de Barros) Raul de Barros
02. Consolo de Otário (João Roberto Kelly) Dilermando Pinheiro
03. Arrasta a Sandália (Osvaldo Vasques "Baiaco" / Aurélio Gomes) Raul de Barros
04. Não Era Por Interesse (Gadé / Valdrido Silva) Dilermando Pinheiro
05. Sarambá (J. Thomaz / Antônio Lopes de Amorim Diniz ''Duque'') Raul de Barros
06. Historia Antiga (Ciro de Souza) Raul de Barros

The second album from my Santa Claus list found in the package received from Pedro & 300discos featuring the same personnel as on the previous post: Jorge Henrique (Órgão), Alan Gordon (Piano) and Hugo Lander (Bateria) is not exactly a premiere as it was already posted on Augusto's Toque, but it is a premiere for me as I missed to download it from Toque while the link was still working.
So last evening at my place could be called "Jorge & Co Evening" as their music was played over and over again.
Let's hope that you will enjoy it as we did. The tracks are:
01. Tea For Two (Irving Caesar / Vincent Youmans)
02. I'm In The Mood For Love (Jimmy McHugh / Dorothy Fields)
03. It Had To Be You (Isham Jones / Gus Kahn)
04. Good Night Seertheart (Noble / Campbell)
05. Dream (Johnny Mercer)
06. Summertime (George Gershwin / Ira Gershwin / Dubose Heyward / Dorothy Heyward)
07. Tudo Acabado (J. Pledade / Oswaldo Martins)
08. Nova Ilusão (Luiz Bittencourt / Luiz Meneses)
09. Contigo (Claudio Estrada)
10. Remorso (Jorge Henrique)

Linda Baptista - Meus Sucessos (1956)
RCA Victor BPL 3021
Obviously, a new package received from Pedro & 300discos has arrived and obviously I am posting as the first album out of it the one combining two principles: ladies first and oldest first:
Linda Batista's (Baptista) 10 Inch released 1956 consisting of songs recorded as 78rpms during the period from 1947 to 1953.
There is one exception, the song Vinganca.
I will quote the note found on Mémoria Músical:
A música Vingança apresentada neste disco é uma regravação, uma vez que a matriz original, devido ao grande sucesso da música, já estava muito desgastada e a gravadora foi obrigada a fazer uma nova gravação. As demais faixas foram extraídas de 78rpm.
The back cover offers an informative, quite detailed text about Linda's career and songs, written by Claribalte Passos.
Tracks from 78rpm recordings and Vingança:
1. Madalena (Ari Macedo / Airton Amorim) 78rpm: 80.0713 / 1950
2. Nega Maluca (Evaldo Ruy / Fernando Lobo) 78rpm: 80.0631 / 1950
3. Me Deixa Em Paz (Monsueto / Airton Amorim) 78rpm: 80.0825 / 1951
4. Enlouqueci (Luis Soberano / Waldomiro Pereira / João Sales) 78rpm: 80.0559 / 1947
5. Vingança (Lupicínio Rodrigues)
6. Chico Viola (Wilson Batista / Antônio Nássara) 78rpm: 80.1058 / 1952
7. Risque (Ary Barroso) 78rpm: 80.1080 / 1953
8. Trapo de Gente (Ary Barroso) 78rpm: 80.1080 / 1953

Erlon Chaves e Sua Orquestra - Pra Nao Dizer Que Nao Falei de Sucessos (1968)
Philips R 765.071 L
The second album by Maestro Erlon Chaves I am posting today, was, as far as I know, not presented before on the net, at least not on Loronix (so there will be no Zecalouro's text about it on Órfãos).
The compostions conducted and performed are, as this album was released four years after 1964, in accordance with the general orientation at the time, all international hits with compositions ranging from Paul Simon to Otis Redding, a trend to continue throughout Erlon's opus (as you will see and hear in his following works).
This time it is:
01. Mrs. Robinson (Paul Simon)
02. After The Fox (J. Gross / M. Freda)
03. (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay (Steve Cropper / Otis Redding)
04. Funky Street (A. Conley / E. Simms)
05. Rain And Tears (Evanghelos Papathanassiou / B. Bergman)
06. MacArthur Park (Jimmy Webb)
07. I Say A Little Prayer (Burt Bacharach / Hal David)
08. Fucsia Bird (Devel / Granthon)
09. I Can't Stop Dancing (Kenny Gamble / Leon Huff)
10. Monia (D. Finado / Jager / Maurice Vidalin)
