Tasso Bangel e Seus Gauchos - Baile de Brotos (1958)

Columbia LPCB 37018

Tasso Bangel, presented today for the first time here with his only (?) career album, has been involved in creating vocal arrangements for the Conjunto Farroupila. Also he and his Gaúchos have played on various Farroupila albums.

The first impression from looking at the front cover is that it must be a Jovem Guarda project. But after finding out that it was released in 1958 and listening to it, it becomes clear that the word Broto, which became so popular a decade later, is merely a coincidence.

More about Tasso and his Gaúchos you may read on the linear notes signed with "Todos Nós", whoever it might refer to.
