Gao Gurgel And His Brazilian Orchestra - Samba Session (1949)

SET CODA - 1003

Now another rarity: Piano player, arranger and composer Gao Gurgel performs a session of Brazilian music with his Brazilian Orchestra for, I suppose, North American audience, as it is released as one of the 5 volume series of Latin American albums for Coda, an obscure New York City based recording company.

His premiere on Parallel Realities consists of these compositions:

01. Maxxixe Carioca (Godinho / Gao)
02. Rio (Santiago / Vermelho)
03. Bumble e Boogie Samba (Dennie Brean)
04. Salgueiro (Gao Gurgel)
05. Corcovado (Gao Gurgel)
06. Urca (Gao Gurgel)
07. Penha (Gao Gurgel)
08. Pão de Açúcar (Gao Gurgel)
